Partnering with Oranim College

Galilee Dreamers (formerly Sparks of Change) was co founded by the leadership of the Oranim International School. The school brings scholars, educational practitioners, and students from around the world to the pastoral campus of Oranim College in the north of Israel in order to study, teach, and research in the spirit of Oranim’s values: educational innovation and leadership combined with academic excellence, sensitivity towards individual differences and cultural diversity, strengthening personal identity, and accepting collective responsibility. OIS is a multicultural educational community, where people from diverse backgrounds learn together and from one another.
Galilee Dreamers is proud to be an extension of that academic culture.

The key members of Oranim staff who have inspired and been closely involved with Galilee Dreamers are:
Dr. Samuel (Muli) Peleg Director, is a political sociologist trained in the fields of comparative politics and international relations. His areas of expertise are peace-building & reconciliation, social sustainability, justice & human rights, and conflict resolution. He is the current Director of the International School.
Dr Rachel Ravid, Rachel is a lecturer and a researcher at Oranim College graduate and education faculties focusing on inclusive education. she is also the co- director of Oranim's civil action unite and the director of the Galilee Dreamers at Oranim International School. Her doctorate degree is from Bath university, Rachel is involved with social activities promoted by the new israel found and the bereaved family forum.
Dr. Roberta Bell-Kligler, Founding Director , has been at Oranim since 1991 and served as Director of the Shdemot Department of Jewish Peoplehood since 1999. Prior to 1999, she was the director of Project Oren, which specialized in educational programs in Israel for participants from all over the world.
Prof. Emeritus David Mittelberg, is Associate Professor for Sociology on the Faculty of Graduate Studies and former Chair of the Department of Sociology at Oranim.
